Meet Your ‘Go Remote’ Guide: Amy Lynch
Founder, Event + Podcast Host at Mixing Babies And Business™
A parent of three kids ages three, seven and nine years old, who’s done contract, flexible and remote roles over the past 20 years.
I believe everyone deserves to design a life that works for them and their family. I’ve spent the past two decades crafting a career around travel, flexibility, creativity and personal growth, working from Canada, Australia, Ireland and England.
I know how important this work is. Not only for your career progression, personal brand building and generating an income but because it affects your family, your household, your wellbeing and your community.
And I’m here to help you do the same, with practical strategies that work for the specific phase of parenthood, life and work you’re in.
🚼📊Why learn from me (Amy)?
I hold formal qualifications in journalism and marketing and my work experience spans contract, flexible and remote roles in the business, technology, education, arts and creative industries, as both an employee and an independent contractor.
I became an out-of-house online project manager, outsourced fractional employee, trusted digital marketer and communications consultant, working with clients on repeat engagements.
But I didn’t start this way: I was raised by multigenerational entrepreneurs as a farm kid from rural Ontario and only took a high school computers course because my mother insisted on it.
My partner is also a farm kid from rural Galway, Ireland and together we’ve lived and worked in four countries since 2010. We’re raising our three kids differently but still apply many things related to our slower paced upbringings.
In 2018, I launched Mixing Babies And Business™, a social impact business and movement which is now digital-first (thanks to those computer skills), focused on producing parent-friendly professional development via a podcast, resources, inclusive business programming, spaces and experiences for primary caregivers.
Mixing Babies And Business™ is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 5 Gender Equality and 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth and is designed to be accessible, inclusive and parent-friendly, serving you through upskilling opportunities to meet the needs for the future of work.
